Tallahassee, situated in the United States, is the state capital of Florida. It is the county seat of Leon County and the only incorporated municipality in the region. In 1824, Tallahassee was designated as the state capital of the then-Florida Territory. With a population of 196,169 in 2020, it was the eighth most populous city in Florida. In 2018, the Tallahassee metropolitan area had a population of 385,145 people. Tallahassee serves as the primary commercial and agricultural hub for the Southwest Georgia and Florida Big Bend regions, in addition to being the largest city in the Florida Big Bend and Florida Panhandle.

Tallahassee encompasses several distinct neighborhoods, each with its own unique characteristics, including All Saints, Apalachee Ridge, Betton Hills, Buck Lake, Callen, Frenchtown (the oldest historically black neighborhood in the state), Killearn Estates, Killearn Lakes Plantation, Lafayette Park, Levy Park, Los Robles, Midtown, Holly Hills, Jake Gaither/University Park, Indian Head Acres, Myers Park, Smokey Hollow, SouthWood, Seminole Manor, and Woodland Drives.
